General Notes: Husband - John Moninger


He was the eldest of a family of ten children, and passed his boyhood on the farm, receiving a country school education. About the year 1848 he moved to Chartiers township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, locating on the farm later owned by his nephew, H. E. Riggle. He was an active politician of the Republican party, and was assistant assessor for several years, besides serving in other ways. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
