A. Robert Montgomery, 52, of Titusville RD 3 died at 11:56 pm Sunday in the Cleveland (Ohio) Clinic.
Born November 8, 1930, in Cranberry Township, he was the son of Rev. Dwight Grant and Wilda Mae French Montgomery.
He was married in 1962 to the former Ellen Weaver, who survives.
Mr. Montgomery as employed as chief meter tester at the Pennsylvania Electric Co. office in Oil City, serving for over 25 years.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He also belonged to the National Rifle Association.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Gerald Montgomery of Oil City and Robert R. Montgomery at home; a daughter, Mrs. John (Christina) Fellner of Pleasantville; his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Dwight Montgomery of Grove City; three brothers, Richard Montgomery of Slippery Rock, John Montgomery of Colorado Springs, Col., and Donald Montgomery, serving with the U.S. Navy; a sister, Joan Pike of Gaylord, Mich.; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call after 7 pm today in the Morrison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Arnold Rhodes, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Rynd Farm Cemetery.

Ellen Mae Montgomery, 66, of 508 N. Monroe St., Titusville, died at 8:58 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 1996, in the Titusville Area Hospital.
Born March 12, 1929, in Rouseville, she was a daughter of Ralph B. and Myrtle Irwin Weaver.
Mrs. Montgomery was a self-employed beautician.
She was married to A. Robert Montgomery, who died July 3, 1983.
Surviving are one son, Robert R. Montgomery of Titusville; one stepson, Jerry M. Montgomery of Oil City; one stepdaughter, Christina L. Montgomery of Youngsville; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She also is survived by one brother, John Edward Weaver of Oil City; one sister, Dorothy I. Weaver of Titusville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Toy.
The Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Byron K. Myers, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Rynd Farm Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Grace United Methodist Church or to the Home Health Nurses, in care of Titusville Area Hospital, Titusville, Pa.
