General Notes: Husband - Isaac Newton

He spent all his early life on the farm, and after his marriage, in 1864, combined farming and merchandising. In the fall of 1896 he built a residence and store building at Energy, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, closing the store on the farm in Slippery Rock Township. He was postmaster before the establishment of the rural mail route.
