General Notes: Husband - William Lawrence Scott, M.D.


After a common school education, he graduated with the Class of 1891 from Westminster College, and-subsequently with the Class of 1895-from the medical department of the University of Pennsylvania, at Philadelphia. He then engaged in the practice of medicine at McDonald, Pennsylvania, for two years, at the end of which time he gave up his practice to accept a position as cashier of the Peoples National Bank, known as the McDonald Savings and Trust Company. After the death of his father, Dr. Scott was appointed president of the bank, in which capacity he served from November, 1907, until the following spring. He then resigned to accept the position of president of the Warner Glass Company, which operated a plant at McDonald.

He was president of the McDonald Water and Gas Company.
