General Notes: Husband - Richard D. Stewart


He was born on the old family homestead, which he farmed until 1876, when he sold out and moved to Hanover, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, where he bought 170 acres of land. He afterward sold out and moved to Hookstown, where he then engaged in the undertaking business.
He and his wife were members of the Hookstown Presbyterian church, of which he was trustee and deacon. Politically he was a Republican.
