General Notes: Husband - Eliezer Evans


He came to Centre County, Pennsylvania, in company with Gen. Philip Benner, as a bellows-maker, doing the General's work in that line, and also such work at the other forges built at about that period, and for years afterward in Centre County. The date of Gen. Benner's coming to the county was in 1792, and he was from Chester County. The Evans family came from the vicinity of Morgantown.
