General Notes: Husband - Diemer Bard

He resided in Allegheny township, Huntingdon (later Blair) County, Pennsylvania, of which he was constable in 1813. It was in a time when the office of constable was, in a measure, obligatory, and a fine of forty dollars was frequently imposed for refusal to serve.
Mr. Bard removed to Indiana County, which is shown by the fact that he was a witness to the will of Margaret Findley, of Wheatfield township, in 1819. Later he went to Missouri or Louisiana.
