General Notes: Husband - John Bard
He learned the trade of a tanner, at which he was engaged both in Pennsylvania and Illinois. About 1843 he removed to Winchester, Illinois, but in 1859 he gave up the tanning business, and went with his family by ox team to Missouri, where he became a farmer. His last years were spent at Sedalia.
