General Notes: Husband - Henry D. Ziegler


His father was the pioneer funeral director of Butler County, Pennsylvania. He was associated with his father in the undertaking busi-ness and in later life he conducted a furniture and hardware business also.

He learned the carpenter's trade with his father, and followed that business the greater part of his life. In 1880 he engaged in the undertaking business at Middle Lancaster, and had also a similar establishment, with furniture, at Harmony. Politically, he was a Demo-crat, and was a member of the I. O. O. F., the Royal Arcanum, and the Jr. O. U. A. M. He was a deacon in the English Lutheran church, to which society his family also belonged.
