He came to Venango County, Pennsylvania, when he was a boy. He was a member of Company K, Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry. He died of chronic diarrhoea. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and was a Democrat. [HMC 1888, 1068]
