General Notes: Husband - John Stewart


From Yorkshire, England, he was the first of this family to come to the new world. He settled near St. Thomas, Canada, about 1834, on a farm where his after life was spent, and he died in middle age. He and his wife were both members of the Church of England.


General Notes: Wife - Ann Moss


She was one of the heirs to a large estate that was settled in the English court of chancery.
She was an only daughter, but had a brother who remained in England.
