General Notes: Husband - Joseph Powell

His youthful days were spent on his father's farm, and he came with his parents to Lancaster township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. When his father died he inherited the old homestead, consisting of 120 acres of land, near the village of Middle Lancaster, where he engaged in farming.
He is a member of the German Reformed church, and politically, he was a Republican.
