General Notes: Husband - Martin S. Mumaw


He remained on the homestead farm where he was born until 1881, when he removed to Scottdale, Pennsylvania, where he then resided; he was in the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad.

He received his education in the common schools. In his youth and early manhood he devoted himself to farming, but in 1882 entered the service of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company in the capacity of an engine repairer, but was promoted until he held the position of assistant round house foreman at Everson. He was a member of the United Brethren church.


General Notes: Wife - Minnie Parks


She was of Scotch lineage, and a great-granddaughter of John Parke, a soldier in the Revolutionary war.
