General Notes: Husband - William W. Service


He was reared in Jackson Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, received a good com-mon-school education, and taught in his home district school about thirteen years; also farming during this period. In 1872 he moved to Sharon, and went into the insurance business, the firm of Service Brothers & Co. being one of the oldest insurance agencies in that section of the State. Politically he is a Democrat, and a member of the I. O. O. F., E. A. U., N. U. and P. H. C. [HMC 1888, 755]
