General Notes: Husband - James B. Muse


He received his education in the schools of Franklin, Pennsylvania, and at the age of eighteen years, along with James B. Borland of Franklin, established The Evening News, February 18, 1878. For three years he was connected with the News, and in November, 1882, came to Tionesta, Forest County, taking a position on the Commonwealth. On August 1, 1885, he became part owner of the old Commonwealth office, and established the Democratic Vindicator.
