General Notes: Husband - Samuel Ziegler

His father came to Jackson township. Butler County, Pennsylvania, in 1814, and purchased the property of the Harmony Society from Father Rapp, the founder of that society, and the following year moved his family to his new home. Samuel grew to manhood in Jackson township, and attended one of the pioneer subscription schools of that locality. His father was one of the organ­izers of the Mennonite church of Harmony, and brought up his children in that faith.
