General Notes: Husband - John Myers

His early life was passed in the county of his birth, where he became a teamster and hauled charcoal for an iron foundry. While still a young man he went to Warren County, Pennsylvania, where he engaged in lumbering until he located as a farmer at West Hickory, where he remained for a number of years, moving eventually to Tidioute in 1865. As early as 1861 he became interested in the oil industry; and eight years afterward purchased a farm of one hundred and ninety-three acres in Limestone township, Warren County, where he followed agricultural pursuits for many years. In politics he was a Democrat, serving as school director and in other township offices. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. His wife was a Presbyterian.
