General Notes: Husband - John Barkley


He was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He removed to Indiana County at an early day, became quite wealthy, and was the owner of three farms. For more than half a century he was a member of Ebenezer Church.

He was a ruling elder in Ebenezer Presbyterian Church for many years; a member of the session and superintendent of its Sabbath school.

He was an emigrant from Ireland, who settled in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, and there became an extensive land owner. [P&HP iii, 307]
