She was a student at the Winchester School for four years and graduated from St. Mary's Hall, Burlington, New Jersey, in 1918, at which time she gave her services to the U. S. Government in the Passport Department of the Y. W. C. A. at Washington. In 1921, in company with her mother, she traveled on the continent, staying for some time at Berlin and Paris.
