General Notes: Husband - Maj. David A. Rimer


He was a child when the family moved to Clarion County. During all his active life he was engaged in farming and became a large landowner in Toby township.

He farmed extensively, and was one of the substantial men of the county. He was for many years a deacon in the Presbyterian Church. In political affilia­tion he was a Democrat, and served the people of his township as school director, and for a number of years was a major in the State Militia.
