General Notes: Husband - Harry C. Nicklin

He obtained a thorough training in the common English branches in the public schools of the locality, and always helped with the operation of the home place, of which he acquired sole ownership at his parents' death, buying out the interests of the other heirs. He engaged in general farming, and his enterprise entitled him to a place among the progressive agriculturists of his neighborhood. His interest in public affairs led him to service on the election board, and politically he was active in the Prohibition Party. He was a worker in the Nicklin M. E. Church with which the family was so long associated. [HVC 1919, 620]
