General Notes: Husband - Louis G. Nicol


He attended the public schools of Marysville, Ohio, Woodville Normal Academy, and graduated from the Dayton (Ohio) Business College in 1892. His first employment was with the Troy Bending Company from 1892 until 1898. From 1898 he was assistant treasurer and manager of the Hayner Distilling Company, St. Louis, Missouri, branch, until 1905, when he removed to Butler, Pennsylvania, and was located with Leedom & Worrall Grocery Company as an accountant from 1906 until 1908. In 1908 he became associated with the Guaranty Trust Company as an auditor. In 1911 was elected assistant treasurer and in 1916 elected treasurer.
He was a member of the Butler Clearing House Association, which he served as president and secretary; the American Institute of Banking; was a member of the Board of Governors of the School of Banking. He belonged to the United Commercial Travelers, past councellor; Board of Commerce; Butler Country Club; and was chairman of the music committee of the Kiwanis Club and was treasurer and sponsor of the finance committee in that club. Politically he was a Republican and he and his wife were members of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Mr. Nicol being a member of the choir.
