General Notes: Husband - Joseph O’Hara

This was a family of Irish origin which was planted in America prior to the revolutionary war, and which was of the Protestant faith. James and Joseph O'Hara, brothers, owned and operated the Hermitage furnaces on Laurel Hill mountain. They succeeded St. Clair and after a time the venture proved a failure. Both the brothers served in the revolutionary army, one of them with the rank of general. This Joseph O'Hara was the son of one of these brothers.

He spent his life in the Ligonier valley of Pennsylvania, being employed in the furnaces.
