General Notes: Husband - John Oakes, Jr.


He was about twelve years of age when his parents moved to Sugar Lake, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, where he attended the public school. He became a farmer and continued in that business until his death.
He and his second wife were active members of the Methodist Episcopal church.
