General Notes: Husband - Alexander Young

His father emigrated from Scotland and settled in County Antrim, Parish of Knead, Ireland, about the beginning of the 17th century.

He came to America with his wife, during the year 1769, and purchased and took possession of lot 25 Louther Manor [Cumberland County, Pennsylvania], January 27th, 1770.

He came to Pennsylvania and settled in the Silver Spring district near William Orr.

They were first married by a dissenting minister and later (May 11, 1769) was compelled to be remarried by a Vicar of the established church.
