General Notes: Husband - Martin O. Overholt

He, with the heirs of his brother Abraham O. Overholt, owned and occupied the farm purchased by his father many years before. It joined the old original Overholt homestead. Mr. Overholt never connected himself with any church, but lived an upright and conscientious life. He took great pleasure in hunting, and during his life time killed many wild turkeys. He had a good memory, and even late in life could give dates and occurances from childhood, and in his day was one of the best spellers in his township. In politics, he was an ardent Republican.
