General Notes: Husband - Nathaniel Patterson


Another source states that he was born in Kentucky.

He served in the War of 1812 as corporal in a regiment known as the "Pittsburg Blues." He was a surveyor by profession, and was elected recorder of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, in 1859.

He was a member of the Pittsburgh Blues in the Mexican war; served in the war of 1848 as major. At the time of the Civil war he was recorder of Allegheny county.
