General Notes: Husband - Richard Philp

---

He was born in Cornwall, England, settled in Darlington, Ontario, Canada, in 1843; and came to Washington Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania, in 1848.
He joined the Methodist Church at the age of sixteen, and was an active member thereafter. He settled on a farm in 1853, coming into the woods, which he cleared, creating a fine property, comprising 150 acres.
