General Notes: Husband - George Hartzell


He died at the age of sixty-four years, seven months and twenty days. He was a republican, served one term as burgess of Mt. Pleasant and made a popular borough official. He was an ardent member and generous supporter of the Reformed church, to which he left a donation of $1,500 and in which there was a memorial window to his memory. He was a consistent church member whose everyday life was in full accord with the teachings of Christianity.
He and his wife had eleven children, of whom two sons and three daughters were still living in 1890.
