General Notes: Husband - Adolphus P. White


Having received a good education in the common schools, he became a teacher, and continued in that calling for ten years, after which he turned his attention to farming. He served as county auditor for seven years; as school director thirty-two years; as supervisor three years; as tax collector one year; and as census enumerator in 1890. He was a decided supporter of Republican principles. Mr. White was a member of the Grange and at one time he belonged to the I. O. O. F.
He and his family were members of the Methodist Episcopal church.
