General Notes: Husband - James Potter

He grew to manhood in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, later removed to Venango County, remaining there until 1812, when he moved to Beaver County, which was his home until he died. He was a stone mason by trade and a contractor. After his removal in 1812 to his farm, four miles from Beaver, he erected a stone house thereon which was still standing a century later. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, as were his children.
