General Notes: Husband - D. Reamer Potts


He was born in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he received his education in the public schools. At the age of sixteen he apprenticed himself to the printer's trade, entering the office of the Tribune and Herald of Greensburg. After the expiration of his apprenticeship he worked for a short time in the office of the Record, and in the spring of 1890 entered the postoffice as chief clerk, remaining in that position four years. In the spring of 1895 he accepted the position of cost clerk with the firm of Kelly & Jones, his duty being to find the cost of every article produced. In June, 1904, he was promoted to a position as stock clerk in the malleable iron department.
In politics he was a Republican. He and his wife were members of the First Lutheran Church of Greensburg.
