General Notes: Husband - James Riddle

He was born in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and was about four years old when his parents settled in Butler County. He was reared on the homestead in Franklin township, and afterwards located on his own farm, later owned by his son Samuel, which he cleared and improved and where he died. Mr. Riddle was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Prospect, and in politics, he was an adherent of the Democratic party.
