General Notes: Husband - Benjamin Franklin Towne


He settled at North East, Erie County, Pennsylvania, with his parents in 1829, and the early years of his life were spent assisting his father clear and improve his farm. After his marriage he left his parents' home and became the proprietor of a mercantile business at Wattsburg, Pennsylvania, but in 1870 returned to his father's farm on the state road.
