General Notes: Husband - Jacob Vail Quiggle

His twin, weighing nine pounds at birth, died in infancy; he himself weighed only a pound and a half, but he made rapid and steady growth, and became a vigorous and healthy man. He was a partner with his brother in farming and cigar manufacturing, and was a leader in local affairs, and also in the Democratic organization of the township, having served two terms as supervisor. He was a member of the Methodist Church, and was the superintendent of the Sabbath-school, in which he was a teacher for some years. Socially, he was identified with the F. & A. M., belonging to Blue Lodge, LaBelle Valley, No. 232, at Jersey Shore; to Lafayette Lodge No. 199, at Lock Haven; also to Hospitaller Commandery, No. 46, Lock Haven.
