General Notes: Husband - William Siggins

With his parents he came to West Hickory, Forest County, Pennsylvania, in 1816. As a young man he studied under an excellent tutor and acquired an unusually fine education with a taste for literature. He was a farmer. In 1856 he was county commissioner of Venango County, and for many years justice of the peace.

He served as county commissioner of Venango County, and as justice of the peace for more than twenty years, up to the time of his death. He joined many a couple in marriage, sometimes going twenty miles to perform a ceremony of that kind, and then, as was often the case, was not paid for his trip. [BOB37JD, 322]

He died in Harmony, New York. [GGSOPF, 95]
