General Notes: Husband - John McClelland


He was of Scotch descent, in the paternal line. He was born and reared in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. When a young man he removed to Mercer County [about 1825], where he followed lumbering until his early death, at the age of twenty-nine years, being drowned while engaged in rafting logs in the Allegheny River near Kittanning.
