General Notes: Husband - Daniel Snyder

He was eighteen years old when the family moved from Westmoreland County to Fayette County in Pennsylvania. They settled in Franklin township, where for four years he attended school. He went to Regantown in 1848, and for another four years was employed as a clerk. In 1852 he went to California by way of the Isthmus, and there spent two years and seven months in mining. On his return home he bought one hundred acres of land near Regantown, on which he then lived, and which he developed into one of the finest farms in that part of the county. Politically he was a Democrat. He and all his family were members of the Methodist Episcopal church.
