General Notes: Husband - Joseph Yothers

He and his wife were pioneers of Karthaus township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, where he developed a good farm from raw land, and also engaged in milling. He and his wife were members of the Lutheran Church.

He was a native of Adams County, Pennsylvania, but at an early age he came to Clearfield County, where he was married, and, being a miller by trade, he conducted the Karthaus mill for many years. Later he purchased a farm, on which he spent his remaining days, dying at the age of seventy-two years, and his wife passed away four years later. They were consistent members of the Lutheran Church.
