General Notes: Husband - David Hough Williams

He was born on the paternal farm in South Huntingdon township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and a portion of his boyhood days were spent in the home of his grandfather in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, where he attended school and acquired a good education. On attaining manhood he engaged in farming on his father's farm, and some three or four years after marriage located on another farm, later owned by his son, Joseph S. Williams, where he resided up to his death, at the age of seventy-one years. He was successful in his undertakings, which were conducted on an extensive scale, and thereby secured a competence for his declining years. He was a Democrat in politics, and while never seeking political preferment held many of the township offices.
