General Notes: Husband - John Riley


They came to Sugar Grove, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, from Westmoreland County, about 1798, and settled on a farm later owned by David McGranahan, where they lived until their decease. He and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, of which he was a local preacher for many years. Politically he was a Whig up to the time of the Civil War, and afterward voted with the Democrats.
