General Notes: Husband - Henry Eugene Marker


He attended the Ligonier public schools and, after passing through Dickenson Academy in that city, received his degree of Bachelor of Laws from Dickenson Law School in 1895. A year later he passed the bar and was shortly admitted to practice in all courts.
A thirty-second degree member of the Masonic Fraternity, Mr. Marker belonged to Ligonier Lodge, No. 331, Free and Accepted Masons; the Olivet Council, No. 518, Royal and Select Masters; the Kedron Commandery, No. 18, Knights Templar; Uranian Chapter, No. 192, Syria Temple of Pittsburgh. Also, Mr. Marker was a member of other organizations, including the Greensburg Lodge, No. 511, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks; the Greensburg Country Club; was president of the Westmoreland Bar Association (1938) and was a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. During the first World War Mr. Marker served as a member, among other activities, of the various Liberty Loan and Red Cross committees in Westmoreland County.
