General Notes: Husband - Sidney P. Snow


After completing his schooling at Butler, Pennsylvania, he was associated in business with his father. He was identified with fifty-eight different planing mills throughout the country during his extensive business career. Among them were: Cook-Anderson Company, Beaver, Pennsylvania; Union Wholesale Lumber Company, Youngstown, Ohio; Wallace & Carley Company, Sharon, Pennsylvania; Citizens Lumber Company, New Castle, Pennsylvania; King Planing Company, Grove City, Pennsylvania; Purvis Planing Mill, Butler; Haller Brothers Company, Youngstown, Ohio; and W. G. Eckles, New Castle, Pennsylvania. Mr. Snow returned to Butler in 1923 and soon after engaged in business with his brother, W. J. Snow, the firm being known as Snow Brothers. In 1927 Snow Brothers firm was incorporated and became known as Snow Brothers Company. The planing mill was located in East Butler. It was equipped with all modern machinery. The building was 60x140 feet, concrete and steel, fireproof.
He and his family held membership in the Methodist Church.
