General Notes: Husband - Allen Rose

He traveled through this region [south-west Pennsylvania?] as a salesman. Here he met a Mrs. Swan, the widow of a well known resident and married her. They settled in this region and four children were born to them, the eldest of these was George S. Rose.

He was the progenitor of the Rose family in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, removing to that county from the state of Maryland. He followed the occupation of farmer all his life, and was a devout member of the Presbyterian church.
