General Notes: Husband - Dr. George Siggins


He received his early education in the public schools and the high school at Tidioute, Pennsylvania, and then studied for one year at the Case School of Ap­plied Science in Cleveland, Ohio, and then entered the Jefferson Medical College from which he graduated with the degree of Doctor of Medicine in 1905. He then began the active practice of his profession with his uncle, Dr. J. B. Siggins, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, re­maining there for one year, and then continu­ing his practice for one year in Franklin, Penn­sylvania, and removing from there to Tio­nesta, Pennsylvania, where he practiced until 1908, when he settled in Venus, and was in the active practice of his profession. He was a member of Temple L, No. 412, Free and Accepted Masons, in Tidioute, and was also a member of Tionesta Lodge, Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He was a Democrat in politics, and a Methodist in religion.
