Funeral services for Clinton C. Schreffler, 86, of 16705 St. Clair Ave., East Liverpool, Ohio, a former Oil City resident, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Morrison Funeral Home, Oil City.
Mr. Schreffler died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in City Hospital in East Liverpool.
The Rev. W. Dale Rhome, pastor of the Willow Street Free Methodist Church, Oil City, will officiate.
Interment will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery at Maple Shade.
Mr. Schreffler was born in Van June 6, 1896, a son of Samuel and Harriet Fye
Schreffler.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War I and was a retired postal carrier. He was a member of the Willow Street Free Methodist Church, Oil City.
Mr. Schreffler was married to the former Dorothy Rote who preceded him in death Oct. 30, 1968.
Surviving are three sons, Andrew D. Schreffler of Apollo, Robert Scott Schreffler of Atlanta, Ga., and the Rev. Fred R. Schreffler of East Liverpool, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Perry (Vivian)Troutman of Annville and Mrs. Fred (Shirley) Ritenour of Mount Pleasant; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Andrew Schreffler of Platte City, Mo.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Roger C. Schreffler in 1973 and Victor Sanuel Schreffler in 1927.
