General Notes: Husband - Hugh Barton

His parents emigrated to America when he was six years old.
He taught school in Washington County, Pennsylvania. In 1832 he came to Allegheny County and settled on a farm later owned by Hon. William Barton, where he died. He and wife were members of the Presbyterian Church, and had seven children, four were still living in 1889.
