General Notes: Husband - Samuel Royer

The Royers are of German descent, and the family in Pennsylvania was founded by two brothers, Samuel and Sebastian, who settled at Royer's ford, Montgomery County.

He was at one time a commissary in the Federal army during the war of 1776, and at the battle of Brandywine commanded a company.
