She never married, and lived with her brother Conrad in her old age. She had lived with her brother Jacob for years, but they had a "falling out" of some kind, and she moved to Conrad's. She died of "inflammation" after an illness of 48 hours. She left her estate to her brothers (other than Jacob) and her nephew William C. Runninger. She is buried at Nicklin Methodist Church Cemetery, having been a faithful member of that church for many years.
