General Notes: Husband - John L. Bash

Loyalhanna Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA

He served during the Civil War, and saw much active service. He was wounded so severely that he was discharged on account of disability and continued to carry a rebel ball in his leg until his death at the age of thirty-six.

He and his wife died while very young, and their five children were reared in the family of their father's uncle, John Michael Fennell, a wealthy farmer of Loyalhanna township, who rendered much assistance to each and presented each of the brothers with a farm.
